In the beginning...

The Daily Bible: Genesis Readings

Why do Christians say that the Bible has the answers to our questions, especially when life gets tough? During my daily quiet time with the Lord, immersing in His Word, I learned that the Bible is filled with God's messages of HOPE:

* The Lord banished Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, but He showed His mercy and love by clothing them before they left.

* The Lord sent Cain away after killing Abel, but He put a mark on his forehead so no one will kill him.

* After the Great Flood, God sent a rainbow as a sign of His covenant with all living creatures; He will never again destroy the earth with water.

* Abram found a kindred soul in King Melkezedek during a time when war, famine, and sin are everywhere.

* God fulfilled His promise to Abraham and Sarah when Isaac was born.

* Before God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, He saved Lot (Abraham's nephew) and his family.

And this is just the beginning...
